H.E. Ahmad Majid Al Bedwawi


His Excellency Ahmad Majid Al Bedwawi is the Assistant Secretary General of Government Policies in the General Secretariat of the Cabinet, where he assists the Secretary General of the Cabinet in overseeing the government policies sector through developing strategic and qualitative projects, and works on reviewing and developing Government policies in line with the UAE government's future vision.

Prior to this, H.E Ahmad Al Bedwawi was the Director of Future Services Lab at the Prime Minister’s Office in the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs, where he worked on managing projects to develop government services, developing Government services strategies and frameworks and following up on developing digital capabilities for government services.

From 2017 to 2019, Al Bedwawi was a Partner and Executive Director of a consultancy firm in the United Arab Emirates, where he participated in a number of projects for the UAE government and various local governments in the country, in addition to some regional projects. He also worked on redesigning and re-engineering projects to develop government services and delivery channels and helped to qualify them for the Global Star Rating System for services.

From 2012 to 2017, Al Bedwawi worked with "Dubai The Model Center" in the General Secretariat of the Executive Council of Dubai Government, where he contributed to establishing the center and managing the development of government services in Dubai through applying Dubai Model for Government Services methodology, and contributed to establishing and managing the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Award for Smart Government. In addition, Al Bedwawi managed the project to establish the “City Makers” initiative and steered a team to introduce services costing methodology for Dubai government.

Al Bedwawi held a number of positions in the government and private sectors, and contributed to the business development of a number of institutions, including the Emirates Telecommunications Corporation - Etisalat, where he contributed to the establishment of the Etisalat Nigeria Telecom Company. In addition, he was a member of the establishing team of Emiraje Systems Company in Abu Dhabi.

Al Bedwawi conducted several training programs and lectures to government entities in the field of services development, Global Star Rating System for Services and represented Dubai The Model Center in many conferences and interviews.

H.E Ahmad Al Bedwawi holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering from Khalifa University, a Master's degree in International Business Administration from the University of Wollongong, and a Diploma in Entrepreneurship from the Dubai Entrepreneurship Academy. He is a graduate from Mohammed Bin Rashid Center for Leadership Development – Young Leaders Program.
