Dr. Yasir Al Naqbi is the Assistant Director General for Leadership and Government Capabilities in the Prime Minister’s Office within the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs. Dr. Yasir Al Naqbi is oversees the development Programs of Emirati leaders, including the UAE Government Leadership Program (Strategic, Executive, Future, and UAE Youth). He also oversees the various government capabilities programs, including the Future Foresight Program and the Chief Happiness and Positivity Programs, in addition to other Programs.
Moreover, Dr. Yasir oversees initiatives aimed at strengthening the UAE's position in leading Government practices by disseminating successful UAE government experiences at the regional and global levels.
Dr. Yasir Al Naqbi held several positions as Director of the Abu Dhabi Excellence Program at the General Secretariat of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council. He worked in a number of government institutions, including the National Petroleum Construction Company and the Retirement Pensions and Pensions Fund for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Dr. Yasir was leading a number of initiatives such as Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence in Government Performance, which includes measuring the performance of the government sector in Abu Dhabi. He also managed Abu Dhabi Government Leadership Center and the launching government service policies and contributed to many initiatives at the federal and local government level.
Dr. Yasir has extensive experience in various areas including excellence, organizational development, government services, project management and strategic planning as well as leadership and capacity development.
Dr. Yasir holds a number of professional and academic degrees, including a PhD in Project Management and Organizational Development from Salford University in the UK. He also holds two Master's degrees in Engineering Management from Brunel University in the UK and Project Management from the University of Washington in the USA, as well as Mechanical Engineering University degree from South Tyneside College in the UK.
