Ohood Al Roumi Visits Thailand’s Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai
Her Excellency Ohood bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and the Future, visited Thailand's pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, held at the Mobility district under the theme "Sustainability, Diversity, Tradition and Progress". H.E. Al Roumi was received by H.E. Mr. Chairat Sirivat, Consul General of Thailand to Dubai, and H.E. Mr. Chatchai Khunpitiluck, Senior Executive Vice President of Digital Economy Promotion Agency (DEPA) and Thailand Pavilion Director.
During the visit, Ohood Al Roumi was briefed on the innovative experiences presented at the Thailand pavilion, the technological and digital development the country has reached, and the innovations it adopts in various fields. H.E. the Minister commended the interactive experiences offered at the pavilion, through which visitors are introduced to the most prominent technological solutions in the fields of transportation, digital communication and services.
The pavilion showcases Thailand's initiatives launched under the umbrella of "Digital Thailand", and its future technology-enabled economic vision. In addition, the pavilion featured the most prominent innovations developed by Thailand, including bioplastics and modern medical tourism offered through its smart cities and advanced hospitals that use therapeutic robots for conducting clinical remote surgeries, in addition to smart farming techniques that contribute to enhancing the use of digital technologies in agriculture and irrigation.
